May Events 

 

McHappy Day

Date: Wed. May 2nd 

Time: 12pm  

McHappy Day is an annual event to help raise funds for McDonalds charities and Ronald McDonald House. Every year Bruiser helps out any way he can and this year he will be at the Upper James and Rymal Rd. McDonalds working the drive-thru window, flipping burgers and giving out free smiles to help this worthy cause.  Be sure to get out and support McHappy Day on May 2nd.


  

Sew Hungry 2012  

Date: Fri. May 4th  

Time: 12pm  

Bruiser is the “Official Food Truck Expert” at this year’s Sew Hungry 2012 event taking place on Ottawa St. on Friday, May 4th. This food truck extravaganza is put on by the Hamilton and Ottawa Street BIA and has MMMMmmmmm written all over it. Come out and sample from over 20 different Southern Ontario food trucks ranging from Wood Oven Pizza, Greek, Gourmet Poutine, Smoked BBQ and more.


 

Education Week at Dr. Davey School 

Date: Thur, May 10th   

Time: 9am  

Bruiser will be a special guest at Dr. J. Edgar Davey Elementary School in Hamilton as they celebrate their Education Week with special guest readers all week long.  Bruiser will be visiting with some of the primary grade students and share some of his favourite childhood books with them. 


  

CBC Play On 4 on 4 Tournament  

Date: Sat, May 12th – Sun, May 13th   

Time: Daily Appearances  

Bruiser and the Hamilton Bulldogs Staff will be on hand at the CBC Play On 4 on 4 Street Hockey Tournament.  This year’s event is taking place at the Mohawk College Fennel Ave. Campus.  For info on the event be sure to check out www.playon.ca.


  

Police in the Park 2012  

Date: Wed, May 16th   

Time: 12pm  

Police Week is an annual event and this year the Hamilton Police Service is holding a Police in the Park event to celebrate. Come down to Gore Park between 11am-2pm on Wed, May 16th to see Police exhibits & displays, ERU Officers & ACTION Team, Mounted Patrol Unit & K-9 Police Service Dogs, Hamilton Fire Department & Crime Stoppers, Forensic Services Branch, McGruff the Crime Dog, Refreshments, BBQ and Much More! Oh, Bruiser will be there too!


 

April Events 

 

St. Agnes School Move-A-Thon

Date: Wed. April 4th 

Time: 9:45am  

Bruiser will be moving and grooving at the St. Agnes Catholic School Move-A-Thon.  The whole school will be participating in this event and Bruiser can’t wait to strut his stuff with all his friends at St. Agnes.

 


   

Dawgs Breakfast  

Date: Thur. April 5th 

Time: 8:30am  

Bruiser, Hunter Bishop, Brendon Nash and Bulldogs President Bob McNamara will be serving breakfast to the students at Parkview School Thursday morning.  This school is a member of the Dawgs Breakfast Program that helps to provide a nutritious breakfast to their students every day. 


   

Easter Egg Hunt  

Date: Fri. April 6th 

Time: 1pm  

Bruiser will be hunting for Easter Eggs at the 26th annual Ancaster Easter Treasure Hunt.  This annual event is put on by the City of Hamilton and Ancaster Rotary Club and is taking place at the Ancaster Rotary Centre at 385 Jerseyville Rd.W. 


  

Parkview School Anit-Bullying Day 

Date: Wed. April 11th 

Time: 12:30pm 

Hunter Bishop and Brendon Nash will be guest speakers at the Parkview School Pink Shirt Day Anti-Bullying assembly.  This will be a full school assembly and the players will be speaking about anti-bullying and showing their support for this great cause. 


   

March of Dimes Mall Walk 

Date: Fri. April 13th 

Time: 11am 

Bruiser will be on hand to help kick off the March of Dimes Mall Walk taking place at Eastgate Mall.  This Mall Walk helps to support programming for people with disabilities.  Come out and see Bruiser at this event and show your support for March of Dimes. 


  

Tourism Hamilton Grand Opening 

Date: Fri. April 13th 

Time: 11:30am 

Hunter Bishop and Brendon Nash will be at the new Tourism Hamilton office located in the freshly refurbished Lister Block building in the downtown Hamilton core.  This will be the grand opening of this new location of Tourism Hamilton and there will sure to be a lot of excitement as the doors open for the first time. 


  

Tourism Hamilton Grand Opening 

Date: Fri. April 13th 

Time: 2pm 

Hamilton Bulldogs President, Bob McNamara and Bruiser will be at the Tourism Hamilton grand opening Friday afternoon.  Bob will also be a special radio guest as CHML broadcasts live from the historic Lister Block building.  


 

Glanbrook Minor Hockey Banquet 

Date: Sat. April 14th   

Time: 10am 

Bruiser will be attending the Glanbrook Minor Hockey Banquet at Glanbrook Arena on Saturday, April 14th.  The Minor Hockey Association will also be hold a food drive and anyone that donates a bag full of food will receive a FREE ticket to the Bulldogs Home Game on Sunday, April 15th vs. Grand Rapids Griffins.


 

MHMHA Novice Leafs Hockey Banquet  

Date: Sat. April 21st   

Time: 5pm  

Bruiser will be a special guest at the MHMHA Novice Leafs year end banquet.  The Novice Leafs won the MHMHA Championship this season and will be celebrating their victory at Sherwood Lanes.  Bruiser, along with their coaches will be handing out their trophies and special awards at this fun event. Great job winning the MHMHA Novice Championship!


  

Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada Walk-A-Thon 

Date: Sun. April 22nd   

Time: 10am 

Sunday, April 22nd marks the annual MS Walk-A-Thon.  This year’s event is taking place at Saltfleet High School and is set to kick-off at 10am.  Bruise will be in attendance help with the opening ceremonies and to start the walk.  Be sure to come out and support this great event.


 

National Puddle Day Fundraiser 

Date: Thur. April 26th   

Time: 12pm 

Kinderseeds Pre-School is holding a fundraising event on National Puddle Day to help raise funds for Bereaved Families of Ontario – Hamilton/Burlington.  Bruiser is taking part in this fundraiser to help so his support as well as entertain all his friends from Kinderseeds Pre-School.  This event is taking place at Mount Hope Lion’s Park, 3027 Homestead Dr. Mount Hope.

Bulldogs "Skate the Dream"

Date: Thur. March 1st 

Time: 6pm

Hunter Bishop, Brendon Nash and Bruiser attend the Bulldogs Foundation "Skate the Dream" Program at Eastwood Arena.  This program is designed to break the barriers that prevent local children from learning to skate and play hockey.


 

Burford Minor Hockey Event

Date: Sat. March 3rd

Time: 10am

Bruiser will be at Burford Arena to help promote the upcoming Burford Minor Hockey Day at the March 9th Hamilton Bulldogs Game. 


 

Bulldogs Season Ticket Holder Skate

Date: Sat. March 3rd

Time: 12pm

Bruiser and the entire Hamilton Bulldogs Team will be on hand at the annual Bulldogs Season Ticket Holder Skate at Copps Coliseum. 


 

McMaster Ticket Promotion

Date: Mon. March 5th

Time: 1pm

Bruiser will be posing for pictures and signing autographs in the Student Centre at McMaster University as their social club sells Bulldogs fundraising tickets in support of Habitat for Humanity. 


 

Rendezvous de la Francophonie

Date: Tue. March 6th

Time: 1pm

Hamilton Bulldogs Head Coach, Clement Jodoin, will be speaking at the annual Rendezvous de la Francophonie event taking place at the Canadian Government Building, 55 Bay St. N. 


 

"Stick with School" Program

Date: Tue. March 6th

Time: 2pm

Dany Masse, Robert Mayer and Bruiser will be presenting the Hamilton Bulldogs "Stick with School" Program to students at St. Joachim Catholic School.


 

McMaster Ticket Promotion

Date: Tue. March 6th

Time: 2pm

Zack FitzGerald and Philippe Lefebvre will be signing autographs in the Student Centre at McMaster University as their social club sells Bulldogs fundraising tickets in support of Habitat for Humanity. 


 

CNIB Skate with the Bulldogs

Date: Tue. March 6th

Time: 6pm

Bruiser and the entire Hamilton Bulldogs Team will be on hand for the annual CNIB Skate with the Bulldogs event taking place at Copps Coliseum. 


 

"Bowling with the Dawgs" Event

Date: Wed. March 7th

Time: 6pm

Bruiser and the entire Hamilton Bulldogs Team will be on hand for the "Bowling with the Dawgs" Event taking place at Splitsville. This bowling event is in support of the Hamilton Bulldogs Foundation Breakfast Program that helps to fund area school breakfast programs.


 

Love of Literacy Day

Date: Thur. March 8th

Time: 2pm

Hunter Bishop, Brendon Nash and Bruiser will be attending the Love of Literacy Day assembly at Bruce T. Lindley Public School.  Bishop and Nash will be reading to the students and speaking about the importance of Literacy. 


 

Minor Hockey Championship

Date: Sat. March 24th

Time: 2pm

Bruiser will be at Valley Park Arena on Saturday for the Stoney Creek Minor Hockey Novice Championships.  Bruiser will be cheering on the hockey players and they battle it out for Minor Hockey supremacy. Come see Bruiser as he dances in the crowed and gives out high-fives! 



HHCA Family Skate Day

Date: Sun. March 25th

Time: 12:45pm

Bruiser will be a special guest at the annual Hamilton Halton Construction Association Family Skate Day.  Kids will get the chance to skate with their favourite mascot and this annual corporate family appreciation event.   


 

G.L. Armstrong School Walk-A-Thon

 

Date: Thur. March 29th

 

Time: 1:20pm

 

Hunter Bishop, Brendon Nash and Bruiser will be kicking-off the G.L. Armstrong Public School Walk-A-Thon on Thursday.  Bishop and Nash will be giving some inspirational words to the students before heading outside to kick-off the community walk.



 

Battlefields Council Kub Kar Rally 2012

 

Date: Sat. March 31st

 

Time: 10am

 

Bruiser will be a kicking-off the annual Scouts Kub Kar Rally on Saturday.  This year’s event is taking place at St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School.  This is sure to be a fun day full of car races and screaming fans!
