BRANDON SAIGEON SET TO PLAY IN HIS 250TH CAREER OHL GAME

Hamilton Bulldogs forward Brandon Saigeon will hit a milestone tonight.

When he steps onto the ice at FirstOntario Centre to face the Oshawa Generals, it will mark the 250th game in Saigeon’s Ontario Hockey League career.

The 20-year old native of Grimsby, ON is in his 5th OHL season. Saigeon was originally drafted by the Belleville Bulls in the 1st round (4th overall) of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection. In his rookie season, Brandon scored 8 goals and added 18 assists for 26 points.

He made the move with the team to Hamilton for the start of the 2015-16 season.  In his 3+ years as a Bulldog, Saigeon has played in 187 games, scored 67 goals, recorded 88 assists for 155 points.

2017-2018 will be a season Brandon will always remember.  He set career marks in all offensive categories during the regular season (35 goals, 35 assists for 70 points).  In the playoffs he helped lead the Bulldogs to the OHL Championship (18 goals, 7 assists for 25 points) and had 4 assists in four games at the Memorial Cup in Regina.

Despite being passed over twice, Saigeon was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the 5th round (140th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft.
