Bruiser has been a busy Bulldog this month, making appearances at a variety of events in the Hamilton community.
The Bulldogs’ mascot made some new friends when he attended the “12th annual Hamilton Wentworth District School Board Special Olympics” on Wednesday, May 17th. The Special Olympics is a yearly event hosted by the HWDSB which promotes friendship and companionship among their students. This year the event was hosted by Saltfleet District High School, in Stoney Creek.
Thursday, May 18th, Bruiser made stops at two community events. In the morning he travelled to the “Police in the Park” festival, hosted by Hamilton Police Services at Camp Marydale. The festival is meant to raise awareness of Hamilton Police Services, and to celebrate their partnerships with the community.
In the afternoon, it was off to the “Walk and Roll-a-Thon” at Glenwood Elementary School which helps to raise funds for class activities. Glenwood is an enabling learning environment for exceptional students aged 5 to 21.
Bruiser and the Hamilton Bulldogs are focused on building a strong relationship with the Hamilton community, both on and off the ice, to help promote togetherness, friendship and success.
