BULLDOGS 3 GAME WINNING STREAK ENDS IN SUDBURY

The Bulldogs three game winning streak came to an end Friday night in Sudbury as the Wolves built up a lead and held on for a 7-5 win.

Isaac Nurse (4) scored six seconds into the 1st period but the Wolves bit back, scoring five consecutive goals to take a 5-1 lead.

The Bulldogs made a game of things, pulling to within one at 5-4 after two periods, but Owen Robinson’s (1) first OHL goal twelve seconds into the 3rd period proved to be the difference.

The Bulldogs out-shot Sudbury 39-32 and went 2-for-2 on the power play, paced by Brandon Saigeon (7), Arthur Kaliyev (13), Matthew Strome (4) and MacKenzie Entwistle (7) who joined Nurse on the scoresheet.

Quinton Byfield (4, 5), Macauley Carson (1, 2) Blake Murray (4) and Kirill Nizhnikov (3) also scored for the Wolves while Jake McGrath picked up the win with 34 saves.

The Bulldogs fall to 7-4-1 while Sudbury shakes off two consecutive losses to improve to 7-4-0-0.

The Bulldogs finish the road trip Saturday night in Sault Ste. Marie with the next home game Friday October 26th at 7 pm against the Oshawa Generals at FirstOntrio Centre.
