BULLDOGS DOWN GENERALS 5-1

Will Bitten had a big afternoon Saturday with a goal and two assists as the Bulldogs downed the Oshawa Generals 5-1.

The Bulldogs completely dominated the 1st period and out-shot the Generals 16-3, but came away with just a 1-0 lead as Brandon Saigeon (26) scored his league leading 14th power-play goal of the season.

Hamilton had a 4-0 lead by the 11:39 mark of the 2nd period as Nicholas Caamano (23), Robert Thomas (22) and Will Bitten (17) scored for the Black and Gold with Thomas scoring on the power-play and Bitten connecting short-handed. The Generals did get on the scoreboard with a power-play goal making it 4-1 at the end for forty minutes.

The Bulldogs kept their foot on the gas in the 3rd period and it resulted in one more goal as rookie Arthur Kaliyev (20) scored late to make the final 5-1.

Hamilton out-shot Oshawa 41-20.

The General goal was scored by Allan McShane (11).
