The Hamilton Bulldogs staged a 3rd period comeback Monday night to send their playoff game with the Niagara IceDogs into overtime, but left St.Catharines on the wrong end of a 4-3 score. Hamilton still leads the Best of 7 Eastern Conference Semi-Final series 2-1.

The home town IceDogs were outplayed early on in the 1st period, but scored 4-on-4 to take a 1-0 lead at 6:20 and then capitalized on the power-play 58-second later to go up 2-0.

The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard short-handed when Isaac Nurse (5) made it 2-1 at 10:35 of the 2nd period only to see Niagara go on to score another power-play goal 61-seconds later to take a 3-1 lead after forty minutes.

The Black and Gold would need a 3rd period comeback and it began with the Game 2 hero as Ryan Moore (5) pounced on a re-bound at 16:24 to cut the deficit to 3-2 and then on the power-play and with the goalie on the bench, Moore helped set up the tying goal by Mackenzie Entwistle (1) at 19:15.

The Bulldogs outshot the IceDogs 11-5 in overtime, but Kirill Maxsimov tipped one by Kaden Fulcher at 11:37 of the extra period for the 4-3 win.

Hamilton out-shot Niagara 50-33.

IceDogs goal scorers were Ben Jones (4), Akil Thomas (5), Elijah Roberts (1) and Kirill Maxsimov (3).
