Montreal, Quebec – The Syracuse Crunch defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-1 in front of a crowd of 18,582 at Bell Centre on Friday night.  Tyler Johnson scored two goals while Radko Gudas and Richard Panik both added two assists.

Syracuse opened the scoring at 16:01 of the first frame on a goal by Philip-Michael Devos.  Dmitry Korobov took a shot from the left point which was tipped in front by Devos and past Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Robert Mayer.

The Bulldogs got on the board at 2:07 of the second stanza on a goal by Steve Quailer, his first as a professional.  Quailer was streaking down the right wing and snapped a shot from the circle which flew over the shoulder of Syracuse Crunch starting goaltender Dustin Tokarski and into the back of the net.

The Crunch took the lead at 19:08 of the second period on a goal by Mike Angelidis.  J.T. Wyman put a shot on Mayer from right circle and the rebound came out to Angelidis who slid the puck past Mayer from the top of the crease.

Syracuse made it 3-1 at 7:58 of the third frame on a goal by Tyler Johnson. Ondrej Palat skated into the slot and dished a pass to Panik at the top of the crease to the left of Mayer.  Panik then slid the puck to Johnson in the slot who shovelled it past Mayer.  Johnson scored his second goal of the game at 10:55 of the final stanza as he rifled a shot from the right point over the shoulder of Mayer.  Syracuse outshot Hamilton 31-14.
