Hamilton, Ontario – The Chicago Wolves defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-0 on Friday night at Copps Coliseum. Michael Davies scored two goals including the game-winner and Matt Climie stopped 23 shots for the shutout.
The Wolves opened the scoring at 2:51 of the opening frame on a goal by Davies, who was sent in all alone and roofed a backhander over the shoulder of Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Cedrick Desjardins. Chicago added another goal just 38 seconds later at 3:29 as Kevin Connauton floated a shot from the left boards which found its way past Desjardins.
Davies scored his second tally of the evening at 2:28 of the second stanza as he came into the offensive zone and wired a wrister from the right circle over the shoulder of Desjardins.
The Wolves outshot the Bulldogs in all three periods as well as during the entire game by a count of 39-23.
