Montreal, Quebec – The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Rochester Americans 3-2 on Friday Night in front of 10,173 fans at Bell Centre. Steve Quailer scored the game-winner and Daultan Leveille had two assists.
The Americans opened the scoring at 10:35 of the opening frame on a goal by Mark Pysyk. Rochester came into the offensive zone on a three-on-one and Phil Varone slid a pass from the left circle to Pysyk in the right slot who one-timed the shot low past Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Dustin Tokarski.
The Bulldogs tied the score at 11:43 of the first period as Jarred Tinordi shot the puck in from the left point which bounced off of the boards behind the net and trickled in off the pad of Rochester Americans starting goaltender David Leggio. With an assist on the play, Leveille notched his first-career point in the American Hockey League.
The Bulldogs’ next game is against the Milwaukee Admirals at Copps Coliseum on Sunday, February 24th at 3:00 p.m. All ‘Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).
