ABBOTSFORD, BRITISH COLUMBIA – With points in four consecutive contests, the Hamilton Bulldogs (15-14-0-4) head into Abbotsford, British Columbia this weekend for back-to-back games against the Western Conference-leading Abbotsford Heat (23-9-1-1). The first of the two weekend match ups goes tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Tonight’s game is the third of eight match ups between the Bulldogs and Heat this season, as well as the first of four meetings at Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre. In the first two meetings between these two clubs this season – both at Copps Coliseum – the Heat dropped the ‘Dogs 3-2 in a shootout both times.

Hamilton is in the midst of one of its best streaks of the season, topped only by a four-game winning streak from November 16th to November 23rd. The ‘Dogs last played on Saturday, December 28th, earning a 4-3 shootout victory over the Utica Comets in Utica, New York.

Abbotsford heads into Friday’s game on a three-game winning streak. The Heat has won six of its past 10 games and currently holds a one-point cushion in first place in the Western Conference. Abbotsford also last played on Saturday, December 28th, notching a 4-2 home victory over the Oklahoma City Barons.

The ‘Dogs and Heat will be right back at it on Saturday evening at Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre at 10:00 p.m. ET.

- There are currently five Ontario-born players on the Heat roster: F Ben Street (London), F Josh Jooris (Burlington), D Chris Breen (Uxbridge), D John Ramage (Mississauga) and D Mark Cundari (Toronto).
- Abbotsford leading scorer Ben Street has six assists in his past two games and currently sits tied for sixth in the American Hockey League scoring race with 32 points.
- Heat goaltender Joni Ortio currently sits tied for first in the AHL in wins with 15, despite being 20th in the league in minutes played.
- Hamilton defenceman Greg Pateryn has four points (two goals, two assists) and a plus-five plus/minus rating in his past three games.
- Bulldogs forward Gabriel Dumont has an even or better plus-minus rating in 13 consecutive contests.
- The ‘Dogs have fired 40-plus shots on goal in four of their past five games.
