The Hamilton Bulldogs have added experience to their blueline as President and General Manager Steve Staios announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Riley Stillman from Oshawa.
In return, the Generals receive a 3rd round pick in the 2018 (WSR) OHL Priority Selection, a 2nd round pick in 2020 (HAM), a 2nd round pick in 2022 (HAM) and two conditional selections (4th in 2023 and 3rd in 2024).
“Riley Stillman will be an excellent addition to our team,” said Staios. “His skill level in both ends of the rink will give the coaching staff options making an already deep group of defensemen even better.”
Stillman, a 6’2, 197 lbs. native of Peterborough, has 13-points in 29 games this season and has recorded 67-points in 162 career OHL games. The 19-year old was the Florida Panthers 4th round pick (114th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft and is the son of 2-time Stanley Cup winner and current head coach of the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves, Cory Stillman.
Riley Stillman is expected to be in the line-up tonight as the Bulldogs play host to the Mississauga Steelheads at FirstOntario Centre at 7 pm.
