The Bulldogs finished the weekend with a 5-3 loss to the Frontenacs Sunday afternoon in Kingston.

The Frontenacs picked up the only goal of the 1st period on the power-play.

Hamilton’s Michael Renwick (1) tied things up at 1-1 with his first OHL goal at the 2:11 mark of the 2nd period, however, Kingston responded with two of their own to take a 3-1 lead. Picking up a cross ice pass from Kade Landry, Tim Fleischer (3) narrowed Kingston’s lead to 3-2, but with just 2.1 seconds left in the period, the Frontenacs took advantage of a Bulldogs give-a-way to make it 4-2.

Arthur Kaliyev (18) scored from an almost impossible angle at 9:04 of the 3rd period to again cut the deficit to one goal, but Kingston finished the scoring at 14:38 to make the final 5-3.

Kingston outshot Hamilton 36-31.

Brandon Saigeon failed to get on the score-sheet as his point streak ended at 13 games. He scored 12 goals and picked up 12 assists for 24 points in that time.

With the loss, Hamiton’s season record falls to 10-11-1 while Kingston improves to 7-16-1.

Kingston goal scorers were Jakob Brahaney (2), Brett Neumann (14, 15), Tyler Burnie (1), and Lucas Rowe (1).
