After a tough 10-0 loss in Sault Ste. Marie on Friday night, the Bulldogs got back on track with an 8-4 win in Sudbury Saturday night.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Bulldogs offense got going in the 2nd out-scoring the Wolves 4-2 thanks to goals from Connor Walters (3), Arthur Kaliyev (25), Brandon Saigeon (31) and Ben Gleason (7).
Sudbury scored before the 5-minute mark of the 3rd to cut the lead to 4-3, but then the Wolves Darian Pilon went after Ben Gleason and ended up with a minor for instigating, a 5-minute major for fighting, a 10-minute misconduct and 2-game misconducts that gave the Bulldogs a 5-minute power-play. They took full advantage and three power-play goals later from Matthew Strome (31), Gleason (8) and Marian Studenic (16), Hamilton was up 7-3. Riley Stillman (4) made it 8-3 before the Wolves scored one more in the final minute to make the final 8-4.
Sudbury out-shot Hamilton 40-36.
Wolves goal scorers were Macauley Carson (7, 8), David Levin (13) and Blake Murray (16).

With the win, Hamilton’s season record improves to 35-15-3-3.
