A tough start to the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-game road trip as they were shut-out by the Niagara IceDogs 10-0 Thursday night at the Meridian Centre in St.Catharines.

The IceDogs began the offensive explosion by opening a 3-0 lead in the 1st period.

More of the same in the 2nd as it was 5-0 before the two-minute mark ending the night for Bulldogs starting goalie Zachary Roy. Niagara fired home four more goals to take a 9-0 lead after two periods of play.

The IceDogs closed out the game with one more goal in the 3rd period to hit double digits.

The IceDogs out-shot the Bulldogs 41-21 as IceDogs goalie Stephen Dhillon recorded his 3rd shut-out of the season.

Niagara goal scorers were Phillip Tomasino (21, 22), Ben Jones (24, 25, 26), Kyen Sopa (13, 14), Jack Studnicka (14), Jacob Paquette (3) and Akil Thomas (19).

With the loss Hamilton’s season record drops to 20-20-3-1 while Niagara’s improves to 24-24-10-7.
