The Bulldogs extended their win streak to three games as they swept a weekend road trip with a 3-1 win in Peterborough Saturday night.

After a scoreless 1st period, the Petes got on the board late in the 2nd to take a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes.

The Bulldogs comeback began with goals early in the 3rd period, 84-seconds apart, from Avery Hayes (3) and Brandon Saigeon (12). Peterborough kept the pressure on looking for the tying goal, but Nicolas Mattinen (7) found the empty net at 19:44 to make the final 3-1.

The Petes out-shot the Bulldogs 39-36.

Brandon Saigeon’s goal extends his point streak to 11 games while Bulldogs goalie Zachary Roy made 38 saves for his third win in a row.

Adam Timleck (4) scored Peterborough’s goal.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve their season record to 10-8-1 while the Petes drop to 11-9.
