NICK LARDIS is a 17-year-old right winger from Oakville, Ontario, bringing the total number of Bulldogs players from Oakville to 3, alongside Tristan Malboeuf and Matteo Drobac. He is a left-handed shot who prefers playing on his off hand on the right. Growing up playing for the Oakville Rangers AAA program, Nick was a powerhouse in the 2019/20 season, scoring 40 goals and 34 assists for a total of 74 points in just 37 games, averaging 2 points per game. Despite his OHL draft season being canceled due to Covid, Nick’s strong numbers in his 14 year old season was solid cause for Peterborough to pick him 6th overall in the 2021 Priority Selection. The first aspect that stood out in Nick’s game at the OHL level is his speed. His ability to make smart, heads-up plays while racing up the ice made him an immediate impact in the Petes organization, putting up 37 points in his rookie season. On pace for 46 points this season, Nick currently sits 96th on the 2023 NHL Draft Rankings for North American Skaters.

LUCA TESTA is a 16-year-old versatile forward from Grimsby, Ontario, becoming only the second ever Bulldog player from the small town, joining Brandon Saigeon. Luca is a 6-foot, 172-pound left-handed shooter who played in the Niagara North Stars Triple-A program of the South-Central Hockey League. In Luca’s draft year, he was named captain of his junior club, and put up an astounding 34 goals and 25 assists in just 22 regular season games, adding 12 more points in just 6 playoff games and getting 2 games in with the St. Catharines Falcons of the GOJHL scoring 4 points. This astounding offensive production got Testa on scouts’ radars, and he went 15th overall in the 2022 OHL Draft to the London Knights. Notching his first career OHL goal in just his fourth game in the league, and quickly adding two helpers, Luca is currently sitting at 3 points in 15 games, and we look forward to watching Luca grow and develop in our system!

SAHIL PANWAR is a 20-year-old centreman from Mississauga, Ontario who is currently playing in his overage year. Despite being born in Canada, Sahil grew up in California playing his minor hockey career for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings, before moving to Michigan for his OHL Draft year, suiting up for the top ranked Detroit Honeybaked, both teams being in the American U16 AAA League. Putting up 62 points in 50 games with Honeybaked in his draft year, he was selected 2nd round, 23rd overall by the London Knights in 2018. Panwar was traded to the Flint Firebirds on September 21st, 2020. Playing a key role in the Firebirds lineup last season, Sahil scored 17 goals and 27 assists for a total of 44 points entering the playoffs as the 2nd ranked team in the Western Conference. Going all the way to Game 7 of the Western Conference Final last season, he scored 4 goals and 3 assists during his team’s deep playoff run. He was traded again on October 3rd, 2022 to Peterborough, putting up 17 points in 34 before finally making it to the Hammer. He compares his game style to Zach Hyman; fast, hard working, and can play up and down the lineup. Sahil was invited to the Florida Panthers training camp in the summer of 2022. Sahil brings a leadership mentality to the Bulldogs organization and we are looking forward to him being a great role model for the younger players.

BEN BUJOLD is an 18-year-old forward from Ottawa, Ontario. Joining the Bulldogs, Bujold is reunited with childhood teammate Jorian Donovan, where they played minor hockey together growing up playing for both the Upper Canada Cyclones, and also for the Kanata Lasers of the Hockey Eastern Ontario League. Through his minor hockey career, Ben was a consistent player who was always able to range around point per game status; scoring 26 points in 27 games in his U14 season, 30 points in 29 games in his U15 season, and scoring an astounding 55 points in 43 games as a 16-year-old in a U18 league. His steady production was rewarded when he went in the 1st round, 19th overall in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection to the London Knights. While only being able to have one OHL season notched on his belt due to the Covid shutdown, Bujold has put up 11 points in 71 games with the Knights. Ben’s game is speedy, he has a strong ability to make smart, head’s up plays, and has dominating puck control. We are very excited to watch Ben continue to grow his game in the Bulldogs organization.

CEDRICSON OKITUNDU is a 19-year-old defenseman from Ottawa, Ontario. He joins Jorian Donovan, David Egorov, and recently acquired Ben Bujold as the four Bulldogs raised in the nation’s capital. Cedricson played his Bantam hockey year right across the provincial border for the Gatineau Intrépide AAA program, notching 6 goals and 5 assists for 11 points in 27 games before moving back to the Hockey Eastern Ontario League, suiting up for the Eastern Ontario Wild in his U15 season. There he put up above point per game numbers, scoring 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points in 22 games, certainly catching the eye of scouts. Okitundu played his draft year in Waterloo, Ontario playing for the U16 Wolves in the Alliance Hockey League, scoring 6 goals and 12 assists in 30 games and adding another 5 points in 14 playoff games. His stellar offensive production combined with his defensive success was sound reasoning for the Owen Sound Attack to select him in the 4th round, 76th overall in the 2020 Priority Selection. Despite Okitundu’s rookie year being canceled due to Covid, he still managed to get 15 games in with the Fresno Monsters of the United States Premier Hockey League, tallying 6 goals and 8 assists for 14 points. In the 2021/22 season, Cedricson suited up for 43 games with the Attack, scoring 5 assists in his official rookie season. On September 29th, 2022, Okitundu was acquired by the Guelph Storm, just in time for their home opener against, you guessed it, the Hamilton Bulldogs. Okitundu played a total of 29 games with the Storm, scoring 5 goals and 1 assist before venturing over to Hamilton at the trade deadline. One of the several strong assets that sticks out to Cedricson’s game is his wicked fast release. He has the ability to fire pucks into the net from the blue line before goalies can even react. We are excited for Cedricson to bring some veteran presence to our defensive core!

CARSON LLOYD is a 17-year-old defenseman from Toronto, Ontario, and joins Noah Van Vliet as the only two current players to come from the province’s capital. During the 2019-2020 season, Lloyd played for the U15 North York Rangers AAA of the Greater Toronto Hockey League. For the 2020-2021 season, Carson planned to move to the Alliance Hockey League and play for the U16 Kitchener Rangers AAA but unfortunately had the season canceled before it even began due to Covid. Having a stellar season the year prior in North York tallying 5 goals and 4 assists for 9 points in 33 games, he was selected by the London Knights 58th overall in the 2021 OHL Draft. Last year, Carson took his talents to the Georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, while still getting in 6 games with the Knights. This year, he moved to the Knights affiliate, the GOJHL London Nationals where he scored 8 points in 17 games prior to his trade to Hamilton. While Carson may only be 5’10” which in today’s game is considered the smaller side, he is able to use his quick skating and hockey mindset to his advantage, making smart-heads up plays up and down the ice. Welcome, Carson!
