OHL GOLD CUP: DAY 2 RECAP – DAY 3 SCHEDULE

Friday was another busy day at the OHL Gold Cup in Kitchener.

Here are the results from Day 2 of the tournament:

Game 1 of the day saw GTHL RED improve to 2-0 with an 8-5 win over OMHA BLACK, OMHA WHITE shut-out HEO 4-0, an offensive explosion as GTHL BLUE beat HNO 10-1 and ALLIANCE scored four times in the 3rd period on the way to a 6-2 win over NOHA.

As for Bulldogs prospects, 3rd round pick Chandler Romeo had three assists including a helper on the game winning goal in GTHL RED’s 8-5 win over OMHA BLACK. On the other side, 4th round pick Kaleb Nelson scored twice for OMHA Black while 1st round pick Ryan Winterton chipped in with two assists.

9th round pick Ray Hamlin got on the score-sheet for ALLIANCE with an assist in their 6-2 win over NOHA.

A total of 128 players chosen in April’s OHL Priority Selection are representing their respective minor hockey associations in the annual showcase event, including 8 Hamilton Bulldogs prospects.

Here is the Day 3 Schedule:

9:30am – HEO vs GTHL BLUE

11:45am – NOHA vs GTHL RED

2pm – OMHA WHITE vs HNO

4:15pm – OMHA BLACK vs ALLIANCE
