The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club announced today they have selected the top three finalists for their jersey design contest. We received over 1,000 entries and responses for the contest at our games, online and through email. This made the decision on the top three finalists all that much harder.

“The creativity and passion of our fans and the Hamilton community was overwhelming,” stated Bulldogs President Steve Staios. “It was important to us that the community was given an opportunity to engrain themselves within the Hamilton Bulldogs organization and the jersey contest was the best way to do so.”

As an organization we looked at trends in the submissions, whether they were colour schemes or patterns, and chose three that were representative of the group as a whole. We could have easily chosen 20 finalists, but wanted to give our fans three clear choices that as an organization we would be comfortable moving forward with. We also wanted to make sure the three finalists were a good representation of our fans. Having youth, and a season ticket holder in the mix accomplishes this. Although some jerseys were not chosen as finalists they still may be considered for future alternative or special themed jerseys. Those designers will be recognized and notified at that time if chosen.

Voting on the top three designs will take place starting at the Bulldogs home game on February 15th and will run until March 1st. Voting ballots are available at all Bulldogs home games, the Bulldogs front office and online at The winning design will be announced at the Bulldogs last regular season home game on March 13th and the jersey will be unveiled at this time.
