The OHL Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club is seeking individuals who want to make an impact during the 2022 Ontario Hockey League season. Be a part of a fast paced community environment and help us deliver an unforgettable experience to fans within the City Of Hamilton.



The Hamilton Bulldogs hockey organization is one of 20 Ontario Hockey League teams and part of the Canadian Hockey League.  The Bulldogs have been part of the OHL since 2015, and prior to that a member of the American Hockey League starting back in 1996.  The team plays home games at FirstOntario Centre in downtown Hamilton.

Today and everyday the Hamilton Bulldogs are proud to be a part of the Hamilton community providing new and exciting experiences whilst building relationships with fans, businesses and creating opportunities for people who are passionate about sports.

The Bulldogs first home game of the 2022-23 season is October 8th.   34 total home games will be played, see the full schedule at



The Bulldogs are seeking candidates for our Game Day Operations Staff. This is a game day only position. You will be responsible for executing in-game presentation elements as well as interactingwith Bulldogs fans through promotions, giveaways, and in-game entertainment. The Hamilton Bulldogs their first regular season game on Oct 8th. The Bulldogs season consists of 34 home games not including playoffs.




  • Must be able to work 80% of Bulldogs games (
  • Assist in planning and preparing game operation activities
  • Participate in pre-game meetings
  • Assist with in-game production and promotional activities including selecting guests for
  • intermission activities and promotions, monitoring concourse tables, coordinating group outings etc.
  • Interact with hockey operations staff, CORE building staff, corporate partners and fans of the
  • Hamilton Bulldogs
  • Assisting sales staff with any other fan experience or post-game cleanup including banners,
  • decorations, props, signage
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Experience in customer service
  • Demonstrate independence and energy
  • Ability to skate is preferred but not required
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable communicating with the public (ex: children, large crowds, special guests)
  • Proactive and think quickly on your feet

Internships are a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and to learn more about career paths in hockey. The Bulldogs organization prides themselves on creating a daily learning experience so that students are ready to enter the workplace directly after their post-secondary term.

As an intern, not only will you be involved in the day-to-day work, you will also be exposed to the different departments that work together to create memorable moments for our fans. As a Bulldogs intern you will have the opportunity to grow and learn from the amazing individuals who work within the organization.

To be an intern, you MUST meet the following requirements:

1) Students must be currently enrolled in a program that requires the completion of an internship in order to graduate.
2) Schools must provide WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board) insurance coverage for the student for the full duration of the internship.

The participant will work under the direction of the Game Operations Manager and Marketing Manager as
well as the Technical Director and assist in all activities related to game day operations.

The intern will obtain various skills in game day production. We strive to provide hands-on
experience. We take great pride in coaching and mentoring our interns and have seen a number of
them accept full time positions after completing school.

Responsibilities (Depending on game-day role, positions will rotate)

Act as a graphics, camera, switcher or replay operator

Attend pre-production meetings

Operate, assist and capture interactive elements and games as needed including (Get louds,
Promotions, Mobile app activations, intermission games)

Assist in setup / breakdown of all game day production equipment

Conduct pre-game checks on cameras

Work with technical producer to capture in-game experience vision and execute


An enrolled student student pursuing a diploma in Broadcasting – Television and
Communication Media or Journalism.

Knowledge of production technology and familiar working within a control room

Previous live production experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience in sports preferred, but not necessary

Team player attitude including the ability to make and learn from mistakes and
communicate with other production members.

Following a script and working with a team to execute game day activations on-camera,
videoboard and in the stands
